Valdres Folkemuseum (Valdres People's Museum)
The museum is our closest neighbor and covers an area of 10.4 hectare with almost a 100 houses and facilities in addition to almost 20.000 objects. The museum is the fourth largest outdoor museum in the country. The museum offers tour in several different languages, experience traditional norwegian music, dance and local food and much more.

Valdres Golf
The golf course is loacted in Vestringsbygda, between Aurdal og Leira, situated i a naturally pleasant environment by Aurdalsfjorden. Offering a 9 holes and 6 holes golf course, driving range, pro golfshop and lessons.

Fishing
As close as one can get is the Strandefjord with good opportunities for fishing brown trout, common whitefish and perch. Valdres also offers other great fishing areas both in the valley and in mountainous areas.
Walking
There are endless opportunities for walking in Valdres, both easy and demanding routes are available. Within a 50 km drive you arrive in Jotunheimen, a mountain range with the largest peaks in the country (2469 m) and is the home of old norse mythology, the name Jotunheimen translating to "Home of the giants".

Biking
We lease bikes to anyone whom may choose to enjoy a nice summers day riding around Valdres. Beautiful mountainous areas such as: the Vaset area, Golsmountain, Slettemountain and Jotunheimen. Stave churches are old medieval timber type churches built many hundreds of years ago. They are now listed in the UNESCO world heritage.
Valdres has six well preserved stave churches within the region. They are located in Øye, Høre, Lomen, Hegge, Reinli og Hedalen.
Winter activities
Ice freezing on Strandefjorden gives a unique opportunity to see the valley from a new perspective. An alpine center is located in Aurdal about 10km from the camping.
